Bryan Kennedy, the Democrat running against F. Jim Sensenbrenner in Southeastern Wisconsin, is one of the first congressional candidates to run a television ad for 2006. Kennedy’s ad criticizes Sensenbrenner’s recent vote against aid for the victims of Hurricane Katrina despite his past votes for overseas funding of the Iraq War and Tsunami relief.
Kennedy, a professor of Portuguese at UWM, got approximately 33% the vote in the traditionally conservative 5th district in 2004. With all of Sensenbrenner’s miscues lately, I’d say Kennedy has a good chance of doing well next November.

Bryan Kennedy is one of the nicest guy’s I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in quite a while. I wish him the best of luck in ‘06.
